FDA warning on Hydroxycut

1 January 2010 No Comment

The Food and Drug Administration, aka FDA, has issued a warning regarding Hydroxycut. It appears that this over the counter supplement can seriously affect your liver.

The FDA has received 23 “serious complaints” from people suffering adverse effects from taking these pills. We’re talking liver damage, folks, not just some minor discomfort.

The reports the FDA has received range from jaundice to elevated liver proteins, seizures, etc. The recommendation from the FDA, is to stop taking the supplements immediately and return them to the place of purchase.

I’ve always said that there is no magic pill for weight loss.

This latest action by the FDA seems to back up my opinion. The manufacturer of Hydroxycut had some really slick commercials about the product. It must’ve made them a lot of money up until this FDA action.

Let me say this, what you need to do to lose weight is to spend more calories than you consume. Exercise more, and burn more calories than you consume when you eat.

Eat less, exercise more. It’s that simple, and it’s the nly way to lose weight.

Today, marks the beginning of 2010, which marks the beginning of my 40th year, so by the end of this year I need to run my ultra marathon.

There you go.
