Tuesday night trail run

Today’s run was only supposed to be for 30 minutes. 30 easy minutes is what was called for in the schedule. Instead, I got the brilliant idea to go run in Walnut Creek park, after dark. This is a park where it’s very easy to get lost in during the day, at night, you can pretty much expect to get lost. I went out there with TROJAN WHORE and SQUEEZIN SEMEN since ASS GAGGER
chickened out and decided to nap instead. Anyway, we started off well enough, and since I’m not exactly built for speed, the other 2 had to slow down so I could keep up. We wandered around the park several times, along the same trails several times all while looking for the trail that would take us back to the parking lot. It was a fun run out in the woods at night and I definitely want to do it again. I hardly walked at all, and save for this one part where I recognized the downhill and remembered that it was a dead end at the bottom of the hill I pretty much ran the whole time. DAY OLD FISH was waiting for us at Mickey’s and he text messaged me while we were lost. I told him we were lost, he replied “I knew it!” We eventually found our way back, thanks to my kick ass orienteering skills and finished up the run. We ran into BROWNIE, Troy and I think her name is Meredith, but I could be mistaken in the parking lot. We exchanged some war stories from the trail and went off to Mickey’s for some beer.

Distance: Approx 5 miles
Pace: Unknown since the above are estimates.
Noteworthy: Got lost in Walnut Creek again. Trojan is fast, and so is Squeezin, or maybe I’m just slow. I love running in the moonlight. I got me a hankerin to do an ultra race at some point.
