We’re coming up to Austin Marathon training time. In case you’re wondering, I’ve not been training due to a chronic issue on my right leg. It has kept me from training for the San Antonio marathon and has also kept me from training for an ultra. Enough about that.
The tips in this video are really good. My only objection/ addition, is that you should definitely join a training group and pay money for the group. Nothing will motivate you to get up and go run more than the fact that you paid money to train for a race. I think fund raising is good, and free online tools are OK, but nothing motivates me more than shelling out money for something.
Bottom line, join a training group, pay the money, train for your marathon.
