Covered a total of 22 miles this morning in the run. The route, was basically from Riverside and Congress to Northcross mall, across Mopac, then back to the hike and bike trail, back to the rock and finally to Riverside and Congress again. It rained, pretty much the whole time and I don’t mean a light rain, I mean a serious raining cats and dogs pouring hard rain. I got blisters on the soles of my feet from my orthotics. When we got to Northcross, I threw up after the water stop. I am totally sore and am in bad need of a massage. I had a great freakin time. I think I decided today that this will be my last road marathon. From now on, only trail marathons and ultra runs on trail.
Today’s run:
Distance: 22 miles total
Time: 4 hours 52 minutes
Noteworthy: Awesome time. It rained pretty much the whole time and I threw up, but I had a blast.

Awesome! Is this your last long run before Freescale?
Yep, we’re tapering from here on out. My new office is less than a mile from the hill of life, so I’m going to be running it more.
I wouldn’t run the HOL until after the marathon. That hill will tear you apart if you’re not used to it. Not like you need a lot of hill training for Freescale anyways.
True dat. Thanks for the advice.
