Holy cow, the Mount Taylor Quad race looks way cool.
Yes, I’m crazy for wanting to do this race, but seriously it looks way cool. From the Mt. Taylor quad website, they say that
The Quad is a 42 mile race to the top and back down the highest peak in Northwest New Mexico. The race is staged in Grants, New Mexico. Grants is located 1 hour west of Albuquerque on I-40. Mt. Taylor is 11,301 ft. high. The race constists of 4 parts; road bikes, running, cross country skiing, and snow shoeing.
You start off on a 13 mile bike ride, then run for a while, then you get the snow skis on, and finally the snowshoes. Then you get to the middle point and turn back in reverse order.
