This Spartan 5k Race is probably more in the realm of possibilities for me, as far as a race that I can actually complete is concerned. This race is going to be on March 26th, 2011, in Warda even though on the race website they say it’ll be in Smithville.
The event is called the “Spartan Race” and it looks kick ass.
What is most appealing about this, is that it’s close to my house and it’s also 5k, which is a distance that I am comfortable with. I’m running and working out, so I suspect that I should be able to complete this race. It looks like a cool obstacle course race.
I’ll probably be the heaviest person on the trail, which is fine by me. I should really try to get a shirt that says “I may be fat, but I’m in front of you” for this race.
My biggest deal and incentive, is that the race will be at Rocky Hill Ranch, which is where the cardiac ultra race is going to be in November. I’ve never been out to Rocky Hill and I hear that they have awesome burgers.
