St Patrick’s day swim

17 March 2006 No Comment

I got to practice late, again. I dunno why but I can’t seem to make it to practice on time anymore. In any case, I saw a bunch of people from the 7:30 practice leaving and they all said “have a good swim” which is code for “today’s workout is hard”. I was still fatigued from yesterday’s run, and I almost didn’t make it to practice, so a hard swim was not something I was looking forward to. Alas, it turned out OK. I think that had I not been so tired, I prolly could’ve done the 100s at 1:20 instead of 1:25, but that’s another story. We kicked a lot, which was good because I needed to blast the legs some more and get those bitches back in shape. All in all, a good swim in the cold (relatively speaking).

Stats:
Distance: 3000
Main set: 8 x 100s at the fastest interval possible, I did 1:25, but I could’ve and should’ve done 1:20s
Noteworthy: Still feeling very fatigued from yesterday, but I had a good kick set after the 8 x 100s
