Well, I seriously thought about running the hill today. I was all gung ho about it yesterday, but then there was lovejoy’s and there was much consumption of beer. Then, there were other things that all conspired to keep me from getting to the hill in time. So, instead of going to the hill, I decided I should just do a short and sweet recovery run today, given that I did a long run my last time out.
I ran through the woods near my apartment, out to Mopac and back. Surprisingly, it took me only 35 minutes to do it, when last week, it took me 42 minutes to do the same distance. Any way you cut it, I’m getting faster or in better shape as time moves along. Which actually is to be expected, given how much I’ve been running this past month.
I also got some additional motivation to keep it up in the form of an unexpected compliment yesterday from an unexpected person. It was nice to hear. Well, back to work.
