Almost forgot to mention

Friday, during swim practice, we did a couple of fast/ sprint sets. I almost didn’t want to get in because everyone that was getting out of the water was telling me that it was a hard workout and so on and so forth. Well, being the hard core person that I am, I thought to myself “bring it on” and I got in.

I’m glad that I did too. After the warmup there was a 200 free sprint, which I swam in a rather slow 2:20. I wasn’t impressed by that time and I felt like I could’ve done an IM in about the same time. We did a few other sets then we did a 100 sprint, which I did in 1:00. I was surprised by my time. I hadn’t been that fast in years, and it certainly didn’t feel like I was going that fast. After I finished the 100, Keith (my coach) was almost as surprised as I was by my time. When/if I lose some more weight, I may end up getting really fast in the pool. That would be rad.
