Today’s swim

So, there I was, freezing myself to death on the deck of the pool talking to my coach. After I got the warm up set, I jumped into the nice heated pool and swam away. I tellya, I love swimming in a heated pool when it’s cold outside. The steam rising from the water and the fast juxtaposition of cold and hot as I swim is quite enjoyable. I swam with Kristen, who I hadn’t seen in almost a year, and who it turns out is pregnant with I think her 3rd child. Anyway, long story short, it was a good swim. Sandy said that I looked really good in the water like I was just on top of it. I also got to demo some fly for one of my fellow swimmers to try to help them with the timing of their kick.

Stats:
Distance: 3350
Main set: 18×100, split up thusly: 1 x 100 free, then 1 x 100 IM, then 2 x 100 free and 1 x 100 IM, then 3 x 100 free, then 1 x 100 IM, then back down. Interval was 1:30 for the free and an easy 2 min. for the IM.
Noteworthy: Great swim today, and got 2 compliments on my stroke. Yay!
