The greenbelt

I went out to the greenbelt today for my long run.  I decided to start September off with a bang and go for a long run today.  It was the longest run I’ve done this year.

I know that as a long run, it may not be very long, but I went all the way out to the Spyglass entrance from the 360 access.  With all the detours that I took I went 5.5 miles.

It took me way longer than I thought it would to cover the distance.  It was all worth it though.

I also brought the camera with me and took some pictures and some videos of me out there.  I’ll post the pictures up here when I get around to it later this week.

I was glad that I got the chance to go to out today since the weather is a little uncertain given the hurricane.  Then again, we’re far enough away that we probably won’t get affected by it, but it’s good to have gotten out and about.

I have to go to San Antonio later this week for work, so I may not have a chance to get another long run in.  Does anyone know how far Government Canyon is from downtown San Antonio? Maybe I should just run some of the course for the San Antonio half while I’m there.

That’s it for today.

Gov’t Canyon is less than half an hour from downtown SA, definitely worth the trip!
