Hiking the greenbelt
By rafael ~ September 28th, 2008. Filed under: running.
I went hiking on the greenbelt with my son today. We hiked from the 360 access over to Mopac, so it was a nice short outing that took about an hour or so to do.
It was our first time out on the greenbelt together, so that alone made it momentous. I even snapped some pictures while we were out there.
I was happy that we did not run into any traffic from ACL (Austin City Limits) festival. Not only was there no traffic on the road from that, but there was also no traffic out on the trails either. It was a really good outing. My son kept making references to Bear Grylls. The guy from that discovery channel show “Man vs. Wild.”
“I’ve only seen scenery like this on Bear Gryll’s show.”
“It’s one thing to see it on TV, it’s another to actually be under a rock formation like this.”
The boy is funny, what can I say?
Quite a nice outing with the youngling out on the greenbelt.
