I made it out to the 360 loop access point and ran up to Spyglass today. According to the trail map, it’s a 5 mile total run. It was fun, and I was way fast on the first leg. Well, fast for me anyway. I made it to the Gus Fruh entrance (1.5 miles from the start) in under 17 minutes. I zoomed through the rocky parts and as I was approaching Spyglass, it happened. Let’s just say, that I now have first person knowledge as it pertains to Melissa’s post, and I still think a mountain lion would be worst. The return trip wasn’t quite as fun since I had to make frequent stops.
Regardlesss, the legs felt great, the lungs felt great, everything but my rather large tummy felt great. To make things worse, there were several cute girls out on trail today, and I’m sure I was not exactly smelling like a bed of roses. Oh well, guess I’ll be single a bit longer.

man, you never have it when you need it, huh? Glad I was up further in the trail that day!
I think my incident was caused by a candy bar I ate. I hadn’t had a candy bar in months, and I had one that day. It’s the only variable.
