2.5 Miles In Bunton Creek Greenbelt In Austin

I recently ran a little over 2.5 miles in the Bunton Creek Greenbelt in Austin.

It was a good time. The weather was great and the wind was blowing nicely down the creek bed, which made the whole affair more enjoyable.

I ended up running through the dry creek bed for a good mile or so, which was really interesting. This may sound bad, but there wasn’t nearly as much trash and sewage as I was expecting to see. Good job Austin!

Anyway, it was an interesting outing, through an interesting neighborhood.

The route that I followed, was from Big Stacy Pool, up to Riverside Dr. and back.

There was a point, where I came across a dude that looked like a scary homeless man, wearing a wife beater shirt and holding a bottle of something. It turned out to be just a dude with a bottle of Gatorade walking back to his car.

So yeah, over reaction for the win.

Anyway, this is a nice little course which you can do if you’re looking for a little something different while running the hike and bike trail around town lake.
