Wheezing The Juice

Juicing fool

I’ve gone off the deep end.

I started wheezing the juice, aka juicing last week. No, not juicing as in doing roids, juicing as in drinking homemade juices from a juicer.

I showed that “Fat, sick and nearly dead” movie to my girlfriend and she wanted in on the juicing thing. So, we went out and bought a juicer and a bunch of veggies and fruits.

I always knew, that I needed to fix my nutrition to be more successful with my goals. I had no idea I was so far off from what a good diet is supposed to look like.

Not only that, but I had no idea how much work and how expensive juicing actually is. Not that I necessarily mind, I mean, there’s only so many times that you can eat chalupas for dinner before you can’t stand the sight of another one. Also, I didn’t know how many different veggies I’d be able to consume in one drink.

The juice that I’m drinking in the photo, is called “Purple power juice” and it has these ingredients:

  • 6 Cups of grapes
  • 1 Golden Delicious Apple
  • 2 2×2 inch pieces of ginger
  • 1/2 cup Blackberries.

I’d never be able to eat all that in one sitting, but in a juice, I drank it down. Which, is part of the trick that you play on your body. Your body gets all the nutrients that it needs from all the food that you’re drinking so it doesn’t trigger starvation mode. Sheer genius.

My favorite drink, so far, is the Sunset Blend juice. It has:

  • 1 large sweet potato
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 2 large red beets
  • 2 golden delicious apples
  • 1 orange

I love that juice. As a side note, I had no idea that a sweet potato is mostly juice, and that it’s delicious in drink form.

My least favorite thing to juice is celery. Celery has a really strong and pungent taste to it in juice form and I don’t like it one bit. I’ve cut the celery amounts in half, but I can still taste it.

Anyway, I have a lot more energy and feel more focused. I haven’t had coffee in over a week, and I have no desire to eat junk food at all. It takes getting used to not having the desire to eat a nice juicy burger or some fried chicken or some peanut M&Ms when those are foods that you just love.

Has juicing helped my weight loss?

YES!

I can see my collar bones without having to flex or strike some weird pose. My workouts are really productive too and I feel way better when I run.

I highly recommend doing a reboot so you can see for yourself.
