I went out to Hill of life yesterday for my run. Instead of going down the power line loop, I started down the hill and veered off on one of the side trails. I eventually picked up powerline and continued making my way down to the dam, across and then up the hill on the other side. I felt pretty good once I warmed up.
I would’ve stayed out a bit longer, but I was hungry and it was getting dark. When I was halfway down HOL, I realized that I forgot my iPod in my car. It was interesting to hear myself running and to hear my footsteps as I trudged through the leaves on the ground. It was a different running experience. Get this, eventhough I didn’t have my iPod on, I was still adjusting my headphones so they wouldn’t fall out of my ears. Talk about motor memory or motor habit or something like that.
Run Stats:
Time: 50:40
Distance: Approx 4 miles
Noteworthy: Felt good after warming up, I kept adjusting my headphones eventhough I wasn’t wearing them.
