Yesterday, after work, I finally made it out for a run. I had my trusty new shoes on and went out on the Town Lake hike and bike trail. I think the lake is now called “Lady Bird Lake” or something like that, after Lady Bird Johnson, but she never wanted it named after her so to me it will continue being Town Lake. Anyway, I got out there and the weather was just right. Not too hot, not too cold, just right, like momma bear’s porridge.

I walked the first half of the outing and ran the second, which is why my time is so slow. While I was out there, all I could think about was how my shirt kept rolling up my gut and how I was running TWC (Tummy Without Cover) and how ugly that must look. Silly, I know, but there was a time when I didn’t really care about that.
