Since I was at a conference and away from a pool, I haven’t had a chance to swim in almost a week. Back in the day, if I went more than a few days without swimming, my universe would be somewhat out of whack. Ever since I’ve started up swimming again, I’ve once again started to get that feeling after a few days out of the water.
I got up early this morning and had to go get in the water to make things right again. I was planning on getting a quick 1500-1800 yard swim but when I got to the pool, I realized I didn’t have my goggles with me. I packed them in my travel bag, in case I got a chance to swim while I was at the conference, and forgot to take them out. Basically, the entire workout this morning was nothing but kicking in various sets and intervals for 1000 yards. It turned out ok, but I hate that forgot my goggles. I may be able to go back to the gym tonight and swim again, in which case I’ll only do another 1000-1500 or so, although I may do more than that.
