Anyway,  I was out with my daughter the other day and we happened upon the lake where the Pflugerville triathlon will be held at. The Pflugerville tri is the first race that I’d like to do, even though I have no bike and am just barely running now.  Did I mention that the race is in about 7 weeks?

OK, now that I have that out of the way, while my daughter and I were at the lake, there was a triathlon training group out there, I imagine doing a “dry run” of the course. Having been around swimmers, trail runners and among other types of athletes, even while training the conversation invariably always turns to something other than the training.

Not with these guys.

They were intense and focused on talking about their gear, the upcoming race, past races, who was missing out on the “great training” they were having etc. Dunno that I’ll want to hang out with them, but I’ll race’em.
