Running the greenbelt again

11 May 2009 No Comment

I went out to the Barton Creek greenbelt today with mah hunnay and her aunt.  We just went out to the Gus Fruh entrance and back, which was 3 miles.

I had a blast out there, and remembered how much I like being out on trail.

While we were out there, we ran into several people:

1. A family with kids and another couple looking for a watering hole to swim in. I told them there was probably no water anywhere near. I recommended that they head out to Zilker park to swim there. The family heeded my advice, the couple did not, at least not at first.

2. A guy with a broken down bike. He had a flat tire and needed help changing the tire.

3. Other random people walking around.

I’m still stoked about the run tracker application on the iPhone. It tracked fairly well, except for when we were under the heavy tree canopy, but other than that it did a great job.
