My son competed in and completed his first triathlon this weekend. He done very, very well and done made me proud. I have a bunch of video that I need to edit and put together in a DVD movie for him.

I also saw a couple of other friends out there in the adult division of the race, most notably the notorious JUST HEAD was out there.  It actually made me feel better about my prospects to see JUST HEAD out there since he wasn’t on a super duper bike.

Actually, now that I think about it, there were several people out there on mountain bikes with both knobby tires and road tires on. There was even a guy that was a little bit bigger than I am doing the race. He wasn’t looking very good, but he was out there giving it all he had and then some.

I think I’ll be OK to compete at the end of June, but I’ll prolly just skip it so I can do Jack and Adam’s in San Marcos at the end of August.
