2009 Los Angeles Marathon

26 May 2009 No Comment

The L.A. Marathon was run yesterday. For the record, I was not a participant, nor was I a spectator either.  Anyway, they have some pictures from the race over on the LA Times website here. Nothing spectacular, but at least they had someone out there taking pictures of the crazy runners.

Wesley Korir of Kenya (they got lions) was the overall first place finisher and Tatyana Petrova of Russia was the first woman to cross the finish line.  I purposely avoided using the word “winner” because in my opinion everyone that finished the race is a winner.

I know, I’m cheesy like that, what can I say.

Congratulations to all the race competitors and thank you to all the volunteers!
