So, I did manage to go out and get on the road today. Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite the distance that I wanted to do. I ended up taking the roommate’s little dog with me, and this thing is a wimp. It can’t do anything. I spent a whole lotta time arguing with it to stay next to me and not run across me. So, I end up pulling in the leash and he figured out he was supposed to be next to me. After we got acquainted with the rules, I started running a bit. We ran for maybe ¼ of a mile, before it just gave out. The dog refused to move another inch, it literally just lay down and rested its head on its paws and just sat there. After about a minute, I figured the dog was done for. It was really dark, so I couldn’t tell if it was still breathing or not. I yanked on the leash, and he got up and it was at this point that I decided to head back to the house. We walked back at a fairly gingerly pace, but it was still a walk. On the plus side, I did get out and do something on the road, but on the down side, it wasn’t nearly enough. Such is life.
