Today’s run was interesting. I didn’t have any clean running shorts, imagine that, so i ran with cotton shorts. Now, the thing with cotton, is that it’s a great fabric for regular clothes and whatnot, but it’s not good for running apparel. Why? Among other things, friction. You can also add that once it’s wet it stays wet, so if you’re hot it keeps you hot and if you’re cold, it keeps you cold. Synthetic material, specifically a moisture wicking material is the best material for running apparel. So anyway, I ran with cotton shorts and a cool max shirt. The shorst felt really heavy, yet they were not obtrusive. I couldn’t feel any friction anywhere, but the boys were a bit hot.
The run itself was fine. For the route, I left from the froot, went down to 183, ran along 183 to the entrance to the next office park, then in through that other park, back to Riata Terrace or whatever the name of that road is and then back to the froot. I walked more than I wanted to, but all in all, at the end of the run I wasn’t winded, nor were my legs as tired as they used to get. Maybe I’m getting in better shape. That’s definitely it. I’ve also lost some weight, I don’t know how much, I just know that I have. I can tell from how my clothes feel and how I look, enough of the narcissism.
