The cramp I got yesterday while running finally went away. It was resistant to beer, to stretching, to rubbing, to massaging, to just about everything I could think of. I think that what finally made it go away was the analgesic rub I put on it, plus some Sparks beer, and more beer, and shots and the dancing I did at a Halloween part I went to. I woke up this morning and the calf feels great, which is always a good thing.

So, it’s official.  I’m now one of the coaches for the 11:45 minute pace group.  What does this mean?  It means that I will need to be at the beginning of each session on Saturday mornings, at 7:15.  I need to be at the TX DOT parking lot off Riverside, rain or shine.  It also means that I need to get used to running at an 11:45 pace.  On the other side, it means that I’m getting a cool Austin Fit coach shirt, with my name on the back.  I think that the shirt is the coolest …

You know, today has been a day full of Dickens quotes for me. Earlier today, I had opportunity to have someone quote “Tale of Two Cities” to me. The specific quote was “it was the best of times, it was the worst of times”, which I guess sums up everything about me right now.
The question I need to posit, is that I was presented with an opportunity to coach one of the running groups that I’m in. They need someone to be the coach for the 11:45 …

I was supposed to run for 40 minutes yesterday but didn’t. I think I should run extra long tomorrow. Saturday is supposed to be an 8 mile run, so maybe I should take it easy.
