So, there I was, freezing myself to death on the deck of the pool talking to my coach. After I got the warm up set, I jumped into the nice heated pool and swam away. I had to scratch out of the race. I had stomach cramps and diarrhea. Sucks that you can prep for so long and then get taken out at the last minute. Oh well, there are other races yet to come.

Well, there I was, on the town lake hike and bike trail on my last re-race run. I was only supposed to do 25 minutes, which I was totally cool with. My legs felt a little heavy at the beginning of the run and I was actually feeling a bit out of breath. I was at the pool with time to spare, so I sat in my car and dozed off. Naturally, this meant that I was now running really close to being late. I zoomed through and made it on deck only 1 minute late, which was actually right on time given that the previous group was still in the water, phew! Long story short, I felt good in the water today. I did no kicking and felt like I was starting to get in shape.

A’ight, this morning’s swim was tough. Not necessarily because of anything in particular, but it was tough. The intervals were really tight and the sets did not allow for much tinkering. The total yardage was 3200, which should give you an idea of how the workout went.
