I ran 3 miles on the hike and bike trail with my son today. He was riding his bike as I ran next to, or in front of him. He did a great job of calling out “on your left” to folks as he was passing them. Other than an incident right at the beginning with an angry woman, we had a great time.

This morning’s Austin Fit run was hard. We had to stand around in the cold for a bit while the seminar on how to prepare for the marathon was going on. By prepare, they meant what to pack, what to eat, what to wear and so on. The run was hard because my legs were still very tired and the course was a bit hilly. Today, I did my yearly run on a track. As much as I hate running on treadmills, I loathe running on a track. Something about the boring and repetitive nature of the scenery. Anyway, I didn’t have much time to run today before I had to go get the youngling from school, so the track became my only option for a run today. My legs felt like lead, still.
