We joined the YMCA last week. The big thing about that, is that it’s just down the street from my house and they have a pool. So, on Saturday, after Chelle got off work, we went down there and signed up. After signing up, I got on the hamster track aka treadmill, and then swam. I am way out of swim shape, but by the time the cap2k rolls around, I should be both lighter and faster in the water.

OK, so I’ve decided that this morning’s run was to be run #1.
I have a fairly aggressive running/ race schedule and I probably won’t make all of the events, but I digress. This morning, I decided to try a different route. I think I was falling in a rut with the old back and forth route that I’ve been doing so I ventured out.
I did, what will be labeled as loop #1. It is a 2.15 mile loop around the neighborhood. This morning, loop 1 took me 33 minutes. There …

I can’t seem to get myself motivated to go run. I can easily come up with an excuse for not going, so I seem to be motivated to not run or exercise. How do I make myself motivated to exercise? That is the question.
I haven’t run, nor done any kind of exercise since last monday. Hopefully, this week will be better.

I’m going to have to start numbering these runs. I went out for a run this morning and discovered a new feature on my iPod Nano. I don’t know how long this feature has been on the thing, but this morning I discovered that the iPod has a chronometer, and that it’s capable of tracking lap times etc. It’s probably part of the Nike features for the shoe thing, but alas, it was a good discovery.
