I just came across this article on Yahoo! that talks about the unhealthiest drinks in the nation. I wasn’t exactly surprised by a couple of the drinks on the list nor was I surprised about their composition. I think that anyone that reads the labels could’ve figured out that something called “Vitamin water” which is made by Coca-Cola isn’t exactly healthy. According to a report published in the BBC, obese people are responsible for the energy shortages, the food shortages, etc. on a global scale. No pun intended.

I’ve been swimming a couple of times in the last week or so.  I don’t remember the specifics of the other workouts, but last night I did a really simple workout.  I got out to the pool after work, so it was supposed to be a fast workout, but it ended up going long.  Here are the details from the workout:
300 swim
300 pull
4 x 100 pull on the 1:40
8 x 50 kick (1 free, 1 fly, 1 free, 1 back)
100 easy

My loss rate, meaning the rate at which I am losing weight seems to have tapered off a bit. I’ve lost another 2lbs, this past week. I’m now weighing in at a “paltry” 349lbs. I’m 1/4 of the way to my goal weight, but I can’t help but feel disappointed in my progress.
I think that the hardest thing in the weeks since my last update has got to be in keeping to the portion control and to the controlled, purposeful eating. Sometimes I wish I was taking …
