The more I run, the more I want to do this type of race. Maybe I won’t be able to do a full ironman, but I’m pretty sure that I can do a half ironman.
Maybe I just like the music.

In my dreams, I complete this race. Seriously, I think that there needs to be something wrong with you to even lust after this race, much less to actually compete and complete it.
This is not part of my goal, this is just a race that I’d love to be able to compete in some day. I realize that it will not be the ultra race that I complete before I turn 40, but maybe before I turn 41 I’ll do it.
Just so you know, the Badwater Ultramarathon entails running …

Road running is OK, but really my heart is on trails like the ones in the video. If you’re not a trail runner, or a runner at all, that video may be boring to you, but to us trail geeks, it’s an awesome video

I don’t know if this is funny, sad or just plain stupid. Here’s a “motivational” video about training for an ultra marathon.
I think that it’s accurate about the dementia that kicks in the longer you’re out there on trail and whatnot.

The L.A. Marathon was run yesterday. For the record, I was not a participant, nor was I a spectator either. Anyway, they have some pictures from the race over on the LA Times website here. Nothing spectacular, but at least they had someone out there taking pictures of the crazy runners.
Wesley Korir of Kenya (they got lions) was the overall first place finisher and Tatyana Petrova of Russia was the first woman to cross the finish line. I purposely avoided using the word “winner” because in my opinion everyone that …
