Here’s a new video of the 2008 Ironman that I found on youtube the other day.
I needed this one. I like how the guy says that no one’s body can race for 8 hours, which begs that question: “What about the people that race for endurance runs?” They race for more than 8 hours all the time.
Anyway, I enjoyed the video.

Have y’all seen the new Surgeon General Regina Benjamin? Have y’all seen the hoopla about her weight?
That is crazy talk.
Seriously, because she’s a big woman apparently she can’t be the surgeon general. Well, I can see the arguments that they’re making about healthy eating etc. but to quote Peter Griffin from Family Guy “C’moooooon, c’moooooon.”
Following the same logic, then C. Everett Koop shouldn’t have been surgeon general because he can’t talk to young people because of his age and Obama shouldn’t tell people not to smoke. So on and so forth.

There are many good things about losing weight, I won’t be talking about those in this post.
What I will talk about, are what sucks about losing weight. For the record, I’m not on any kind of diet, I’m not taking any pills, nor am I taking any supplements other than a vitamin pill. If you were expecting to see something on the list about eating Tofu and whatever, sorry but there’s nothing like that going on.

I really like this picture. I think it’s funny on its own, so I won’t add anything beyond, does any of y’all know where the picture was taken?
Speaking of running a little, I ran a bit over the weekend. I went out to Hill of Life on Saturday morning, and then on Sunday morning I ran on the east side loop of the the Town Lake Hike & Bike Trail. I went over the dam and back to I-35, a nice little 4 mile loop.

Today marks the first day of the Badwater run. Yes, you read that right, the first day of the race. Competitors have 60 hours to complete the 135 mile distance from the middle of Death Valley up to Mt. Whitney.
