These last couple of weeks I’ve come to realize something. This may not be news to other people, but it’s definitely news to me. I’ve realized, that I’m a much better swimmer than I am a runner.

My friends Mike, Bridget and pastor Zak ran the San Antonio Marathon. I talked to Mike yesterday when he came by to pick up his dog, and from his report, it seems like it was a fun race.
Mike said the course was very flat, save for the steep hill right at the end. He also mentioned that the start was chaotic from the AT&T Center, and that the race started while some runners were still on the shuttle busses.

Oh my goodness. Michelle and I tried the pilates class at the YMCA yesterday. It was supposed to be a beginner’s class, but my first sign should have been that someone had scratched out the word “beginner” and hand written in the words “Abs and glutes”.

I got on the treadmill today. Michelle and I had talked about doing the spin class, but I was just too uncomfortable on that bike. The problem, is that my gut was hitting my legs whenever I pedaled, so it was very uncomfortable.
That’s another way to know that you’re fat. When your gut hits your stomach when you’re riding a bike.
